Review IBI Study Tour 2023 in Switzerland
The first IBI Study Tour in Switzerland at the end of September 2023 left us absolutely delighted! We had the opportunity to visit the most innovative businesses in the Swiss biochar field, with around 70 participants from all around the world.
In addition to visiting the following outstanding establishments – the wood-fired power plant of Bioenergie Frauenfeld; the agricultural company Jucker Farm (Spargelhof) in Rafz ZH; the biochar manufacturer Inkoh AG in Maienfeld; the KLARK climate-neutral concrete producer Logbau AG in Maienfeld; and the new sawmill resurses in the canton of Graubünden – we were privileged to delve into presentations and insights from experts representing a wide array of perspectives on the subject of biochar. The international biochar conference at the headquarters of Carbon Standards International AG in Frick, which also addressed questions regarding carbon sinks, the Global Artisan C-Sink, and Global Cooling Services, successfully concluded the study tour content-wise.
